KT, how fast you think Yadav and Aaron consistently going to bowl for India? You reckon they got lot of gas in them. This is particularly I am asking aout Aaron since he just came back from injury. He hasn't been even part of Indian ODI team either. If he doesn't find it right, he might lose his confidence already. Shouldn't he just continue bowling in ODI'S or in domestic for few more weeks? Also one more question. Should we throw BK out of the test line up forever. Since he doesn't have pace, he is basically useless and be never picked for test matches, right?

Yadavs average pace in last ODI was 140k, quickest 146 and never looked stretching himself and he cal bowl even quicker than that. Aaron will be around similar pace too.

There is the small matter of who will captain the side in MSDs absence. Im with you on this, there must be better options as WK/Bat- Id suggest Saha not someone as raw as Samson But with the captaincy Kohli and Pujara are the only two options, my personal choice would be Pujara he seems more mature and has more captaincy experience with the A team and state (I think). However BOTH are too inexperienced right now and should be allowed to focus on their cricket and establish themselves as batsmen. MSD is not going anywhere soon even if we would like him too

Yeah samson is massive punt. Saha better option. Saha would be more solid with bat then dhoni imo

Don't be worried about IPL stuff... that's all about economy and pressure performance. Vinay and unadkat probably looked accurate so he wanted to keep things tight. Both pujara and kohli know in tests its all about wickets. And Dinda has pace, can bowl a lot of overs too. He's just erratic.. needs a good coach!

Well when fresh will bowl 85 to 90. In Ydavs case odd one will go over 90. Then of course as day goes by and get tired will drop in pace to more 82 to 86. If used right yadav could be told to bowl fast in shorter spells. I am sure even late in day Yadav will get odd rocket through or odd fiery spell. Of course not saying will bowl 90mph all day! BK meanwhile will start at 81 to 83. Then drop to 78mph! So other two will always be be quicker, evenm when BK is freash and other bowled 15 overs each Yes marginal call with aaron. Some will say play him in odis first as not played in long term etc. I would be more bold cos of our desperate situatuin with good pacers. Include him in both odis and test squad. Odis before tests, so would play him in odis, if speeds are good and he looks good then play him in tests.

85 consistenlty. I hope Umesh is able to live to your that expectation. I am not too sure if our bowlers bowl consistently 85 miles per hour in a test match or in a test series for longer period of ime. Hopefully they do. I want to see

Shami has an average pace of 85-86 mph, quickest 89 mph and Umesh will be quicker than him.

They would have milked him dry! Learn from last day or so. Who was most threatning? yes thats right shami, our fastest bowler. Just imagine if had 2 more like that. Non stop pressure, pressure from both ends. In fact learn from history of test cricket!

I agree that guys like Yadav and Aaron need to play, but you also need others alongside them. You play your bowlers according to the conditions. The reason why Zak (surprisingly) and Ishant where so inefficient in this match and on the last day of the previous one is because their line and length made no sense whatsoever. This is normal for Ishant but surprising from Zaheer. If you have a guy like BK bowling in the right places, even if he doesn't get wickets he'll build pressure and wickets will come from the other end. The Saffers were never really pressurized, they were always ticking along comfortably and even batting as if they were playing an ODI at times.

Once you notice their speeds dropping on your speedometer excel spreadsheet after a hot summer afternoon session, you'll be the first to come here and open a thread about how useless they are. I think it would be great to have all three of them bowling, but you will need at least two spinners to back them up because there's no way they're going to bowl an entire day between the three of them. Yes a while away but I think no we must have good idea what team would want. A lot changed. Must play 3 seamers and only one spinner.
