this guy beaten con party in its own game
Ouch, that's what happen when you focus entirely on your competition. (Modi). Some parties need to reality check about themselves instead of just talking of the competitors only. Listening AAP??

What is idiotic is saying BJP has a 35% vote share in Coimbatore. So its either suspicious or stupidity.
It is again an alliance. And perhaps to end this continuous issue, let's just agree to disagree about it then.

and about the alliance, its more of the BJP not entering an alliance which is the issue. The likes of the DMK would love to have the BJP by their side. Had the BJP pushed for a DMK alliance it would have worked. I am sure it would have been a BJP-DMDK-DMK-Vaiko alliance. Problem for the BJP was that such a move may have tempted the hand of the AIADMK to form an alliance with the congress-left and PMK which could potentially have led to the congress picking up seats. Better for the BJP if the congress is denied any seats in TN.This way the BJP is open to do business post polls with either the DMK or AIADMK (which seems more likely).
No they didnt.Stalin was very clear from the start they arent going for coalition with any national party. And they have a long standing alliance with Muslim League and MMK(both Muslim parties) who are both contesting in this election with DMK So how are u saying DMK would have gone for an alliance with BJP ? The only party they tried to rope in was DMDK.And later communists All three parties MDMK PMK and BJP were ignored by both DMK and ADMK because of their baggage

Yeah sure. And its nothing to do with shrewd obv on my part either.Anyone with decent knowledge of our state politics can tell you that easily. For starters since the formation of ADMK in 77 no party outside DMK or ADMK Alliance have won a single seat in Lok sabha elections if i am not mistaken.
I take your view on board. But things change. Lets be honest the BJP when it first came to power was a UP/Bihar party. Today its the strongest in the western part of India. You can also argue this is the first time both the major local parties since 1977 dont have a national parties (BJP congress communists) as their alliance partners. Dont think thats happened since 1977 either.

Well he is hardly going to come out an announce it (that he would like the BJP as an alliance partner). Somethings are better left unsaid. It was more a case of wait for the BJP till a point before going it alone. Also the DMK have partnered with the BJP before. So its hardly covering new ground. The last thing the DMK should be worried about is baggage. Already they appear to be fighting rebellion in their ranks.

It's about vote share not seats. That's my sole argument. A big and clear difference. Of course' date=' do realize that vote shares doesn't mean vote seats in similar percent. It's simple politics.[/quote'] I was only referring to the alliance as well. The fact is anyone from Coimbatore region(i am from there as well) will tell you BJP (or their alliance for their matter) doesnt have anywhere near 35% vote share in Coimbatore. Infact the third strongest party(in terms of vote share) in CBE is communist

Hardly any rebilion in DMK ever since Stalin stepped in take command though.Truth is DMK isnt caring for this Lok sabha elections.Stalin dont gain much from it.He was targetting the next assembly elections thats why he cut loose congress as well.

and you think Alagiri is not going to cause problems even there? For all we know after the lok sabha elections alagiri splits from the DMK and joins one of the other parties (congress aiadmk bjp etc) or forms his own party. At best he stays within the DMK and causes problems within. You dont need to be a political expert on TN to see which way the situation is heading. It political navie for the DMK to simply ignore a election. It ruins cadre moral and causes defections.

Alagiri hardly has any strong support base or political well know to cause a rebillion. Even most of his ardent supporters has switched to stalin. Problem with Alagiri is he never was a politician unlike Stalin or built a support base. Stalin has silenced Kanimozhi that's the bigger achievement this election. They aren't ignoring the election. But using it as a base to built for next assembly elections.

Btw this NDTV survey LOL does anybody expect left parties to get 18 seats? Especially after Mamata is doing so well in WB? where do the rest of these seats come from?
I don't know what the break-up is for the NDTV survey, but Left parties have a significant presence in Tripura and Kerala, besides WB.

Problem is AIADMK clearly has the edge over the DMK as things stand. Even a 2% drop will be more than enough to send the DMK tumbling. DMK is not talking from a position of strength. Alagiri has the capability to cause that 2% drop. Fine he is not going to win on his own. But he is going to dent the DMK and ensure they dont form government in the next assembly elections either. Its a bit like the MNS in Maharashtra and the Shiv sena. The battle of two other brothers (cousins through)

The results will be damn close 16-18 one party and 20-24 other. And considering the screw up in canditate selection by Amma wont be surprised if its DMK who wins more seats(20-24).Just my opinion though.Amma may win 30-35 seats as polls predict but i doubt it.Will see how results go. And no Alagiri isnt remotely capable of having any impact similar to Raj Thakrey.Nor has he any ability to cause any drop in vote % apart from Madurai region(2-3 constituencies at best). Thats the reality. Anyway i am done with the debate.

Amma will support Modi post poll no worries there, only her condition is the issue She already dumped 3rd front in a week after allaiance
She might set a condition though - she will be PM and Modi can become Deputy PM if he wants :cantstop:

Read more at: http://news.oneindia.in/india/pics-tamil-nadu-opinion-polls-steer-to-aiadmk-with-clear-majority-1412043.html To the Tamil posters, how accurate has this guy been before in his predictions? 5 seats for the congress is a bold call...
Congress won't even win one seat in TN. They neither have the voter base nor party strength to win anything on their own. For the past 23 years they have always been riding piggy back on ADMK/DMK. I don't understand how these polls are this optimistic about the national parties in TN.

even most tn papers are saying he is a force in 7 lok sabha constituencies. I find it hard to believe that he will have no impact.
