Ram Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Want to know why ? Just listen to commentary of Zaheer Abbas - Mushtaq Ahmed - Robin Jackman trio. Especially Abbas and Ahmed , their comments are pure persecution. Abbas always gets the place where he stresses the words wrong , while Ahmed always gets his adjectives wrong. They are just killing the visual medium that is cricket, even Mandira Bedi would have done a better job. Broadcasters , when India plays Pakistan in the coming months , please please please dont bring these two along !
PaiN_KiLLeR Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 yeah the commentary team for the SA-PAK is the worst one ever assembled. but i would still prefer listening to them than arun lal and laxman siva, coz atleast i can laugh at the pak cpmmentators. lal and siva are just plain irritating.

Arun-heh-heh-Lal (laughs at weird moments) hehehe... and Laxman Sing-A-Long-A-Krishnan (i hate his high pitched singing commentary!)
kablooee87 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Mushy: You know like Waqar: BUT-ahhhhhh Zaheer: I must say...no doubt It's painful.
MundaPakistani Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Mushy: You know like Waqar: BUT-ahhhhhh Zaheer: I must say...no doubt It's painful. zaheer: you see all commentators are human beings:bebored:
kabira Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 you all are lucky...atleast you have commentators who have played the game...spare a thought for us.. On DD we have two English Commentator...one stats the obvious like "While chasing high scores, req. run rate is always high" and his fellow commentator will respond "Eggjetly"... Only commentator I really enjoy is Sushil Doshi..His hindi is pure class

Deleted_User_1 Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 In the last ODI one pakistani fielder missed a catch diving to his left side, the left arm being is his stronger arm and Mushy says.........."In ODIs you have take that catch.....it is towards his right arm......I mean towards his left arm which is his right arm (he meant to say stronger arm) and so he should have taken the catch...." BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!:hysterical::hysterical:

It has happened multiple times that I crack a joke while watching the match about Waqar's English and 2 minutes later he makes a great point about fast bowling. I guess in the end what it boils down to is that people like Waqar are Zaheer are horrible commentators, but their knowledge of the game is undeniable. Once in a while the latter supercedes the former.

They may know a lot about batting , bowling but they just dont seem to effectively communicate it. I saw the first one-dayer between Pak and the Saffies and i cant recollect one worthwhile comment made by either Abbas or Ahmed.

For other commies if you read the caption you won't realize that it's cricket commentary.
