Now we have 2 bowlers who can bowl at 150ks and one of them played 3 Odis here.Shami is pretty nippy and can move the ball.Bhuvi is an out an out swing bowler. On paper this looks a very decent attack.So why dont they deliver? For me the issue has been length.If you see,the NZ bowlers bowled the in between length mostly or short at the stumps. Our bowlers bowled sometimes too full or when they bowled short it was wide of stumps. As BS Bedi once said,Length is mandatory,line is optional. Someone needs to teach these bowlers the length to ball on these wickets. If you ball short be at the body only then you will trouble the batsman.Else bowl the in between length and not too full driving length balls.

Old guy Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 What did the other 4 do? got wickets in first 10-12 overs when they got opportunity then spinners bowled continuously for next 20-25 with match and quick bowlers only returning during batting power play and last 10 overs where they pulled the games back everytime you will notice scores like 50-2 turning into 200 -2 after long spells y ashwin and some part timers
