Detonator Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 We need Sachin Tendulkar as coach. I m going to write a petition to BCCI.
Switchblade Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Have read Virat Pujara Rahane praising Duncan that he has helped them with their batting skills
G_B_ Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 maybe rather than a coach what india needs is a good support staff. better bowling coach, maybe one bowling coach is not enough considering that we have some abject bowlers. Maybe Dawes is good but he cant work on 5-6 bowlers at once. a spin coach, I have been banging on about this point for ages. Who do Sir and Ashwin turn to? Get a Bedi or a Kumble in there. a batting coach. Come on Laxman or Dravid. Laxman especially is a terrible commentator. Pay him to be batting coach. fielding coach i think is doing a decent job. So what India need atm is probably 3 bowling coaches (2 fast and 1 spin) a proven indian batting coach and a proven fielding coach. I think maube if Zaheer cannot make a mark in NZ he should be brought on board as an Indian bowling coach.
Detonator Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 ^ How about a coach for captaining and wicket keeping? sounds good though :hmmm:
Detonator Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 ^Hey I don't make the rules petition sreeni mammu on a yellow notepad and he will listen :two_thumbs_up: :giggle: Every player has a personal coach/trainer. Rajkumar sharma for Kohli, Dinesh lad for Rohit, AN sharma for sehwag. I think its too much to take for a player, listening to 3 or 4 coaches.
Detonator Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 If only :haha:. You forget we do not have too many allrounders in the squad. Not enough talent in an individual to make him listen to '1' primary point of contact. But to be honest a yadav will listen to a bowling coach rohit will air his issues to a batting fellow and so on and so forth. I can understand, but I believe its upto a player to get a good coach for himself. Kohli recently lauded his personal coach for all his success. Even for Sachin his childhood coach Ramakant Achrekar meant so much to him, said his 1 rupee coins are so valuble to him in retirement speech. OTOH, many were criticising Gambir's coach for not working with his pokes and nips, and for I Pathan TA Sekhar from MRF helped him with a much better wrist position, but he again went downhill after a season. Appointing specialized won't take much time, but what matters is they shld be good enough. If not it would heavily backfire, as players might
Rohit 209(158) Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Warney is interested in Eng coach job, why India is not interested? Will add X factor to our young team.
Switchblade Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Warney is interested in Eng coach job' date=' why India is not interested? Will add X factor to our young team.[/quote'] Would rather have Moody/Rajput/Langer than Warne.
Rebel Agent Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Langer would be good, McGrath as the bowling coach.
