kubrickian Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Absolutely..with dhoni' date='We would have seen typical game drifting tacticss..both sk and pak would have chased much more easily, especially with dhoni's over use of part timers[/quote'] Agree with this too. Dhoni has allowed the game to drift on many occasions using part timers. Credit to Kohli that he kept attacking with bowlers and kept shuffling his bowlers around and took the game to the last over against both SL and Pak. Its the batting which failed to score a good score on these pitches which put us on the back foot, especially because we have a weak middle order.
SLICKR392 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Raina drops lot of dollies to be amazing though' date='just like Kohli[/quote'] Very rarely though. He is a very good slip fielder.
kubrickian Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 These ads are so shite. They are literally jinxing us with these crap ads.
Magneto Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Jaddu and Rahane have the safest of hands. Post-injury, Tiwary may end up as just an average fielder.
game_changerr Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Even australia ,when lost thr first leg of ashes 3-0 ,it was evident that turnaround was round the corner.....similarly..be hopefull in india's case...
Lord Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Very rarely though. He is a very good slip fielder. not in slips,he drops skiers for some reason.yes lesser than Kohli but still does.Rahane and Jaddu almost drop nothing
Magneto Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Though I Dont want to single out anyone but dk fills the criteria..he played a horrible innings of 23of 46 ,then went on to miss naqsood's stumping..even in the last match he missed an easy stumping of sanga..we would have won both the matches tbh but I guess this just isn't India's tournament.. Hope we come back strongly in Wt20 which is a global tournament India is a poor T20 team... the writing is in the wall. Not that it is currently a good ODI or Test team either.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Hits the stump every effing time! Just brillaint. Raina, Jadeja, Rahane and M.Tiwary- these guys are amazing all round fielders. m tiwary should bat at 5 or in t20s rohit - out, could have rahane open or pujara open only one of tiwary and rayudu can play :S
kubrickian Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 India is a poor T20 team... the writing is in the wall. Not that it is currently a good ODI or Test team either. Main reason for that is we dont have good death bowlers. I reckon our spinners will do well in BD. Yuvi, Raina, Dhoni will be back as well and along with Dhawan, Kohli its a pretty good batting lineup. But its a time pass format anyway. Anything can happen. Even if we dont win no point in losing sleep over it.
Magneto Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 the ad is for WT20:beee: I know, but they keep playing it 24/7 during the Asia Cup. :wall: :wall: Now every time it gets played again, we will be reminded of this match. :((
Magneto Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 m tiwary should bat at 5 or in t20s rohit - out, could have rahane open or pujara open only one of tiwary and rayudu can play :S Tiwary is just back after yet another injury. The IPL will be an indicator of this form, but again, he is not really a good T20 player.
game_changerr Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Wats kapil dev doing in tat ad?ho was so pumped:cantstop:
Pakistan Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Its 18 years now and we got used-too of going with 10 players :cantstop:
SLICKR392 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Wasn't really fond of Tiwary in T20 either. A very good ODI bat of what I have seen and obviously a gun fielder!
SLICKR392 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Forget todays match' date='In general i have seen spinners and last over most often team loses.[/quote'] Never liked the idea of bowling spin in the death unless you have someone like Narine. Ajmal did will today but with 15-12 in the last over to defend, Narine>Ajmal. I wanted Kohli to use Shami against Afridi when he got in or the last over.

Ajmal did will today but with 15-12 in the last over to defend' date=' Narine>Ajmal. I wanted Kohli to use Shami against Afridi when he got in or the last over.[/quote'] Why does Shami have a tendency to bowl short even though he is not tall and the pitches here are so slow ? The ball just sits up nicely to be whacked. Is the bowling coach even telling them what to do ?

Would have really liked to see Shami when Afridi was attacking. Missed the trick there by giving it to Jaddu. Good outing for the bowlers, nonetheless. Spinners bowling death have become a norm in Asia now.
