Sachin=GOD Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 For all of his shrewd moves, Kejriwal missed one trick yesterday and it might hurt him later. Instead of resigning and then asking the LG to dissolve the assembly and call for fresh elections, he should have first asked the LG to dissolve the Assembly - from what I know, in such a situation the LG would have had no choice but to dissolve the assembly and order fresh elections (which would have happened alongside Lok Sabha and would have made Kejriwal the caretaker CM for that period). But he simply resigned - after that it was up to the LG to decide what to recommend to the President - fresh elections or President's rule, and in such a case its been seen that President's rule is the one recommended more often than not and that is what the LG has done.

As for wanting to be CM - he sure as hell wants to be CM (and more) - every single action of his since taking power has indicated that. He has resigned simply because he sees a much better chance of getting a full majority by projecting himself as a martyr.

Had he stayed there as a CM, the effect wouldn't have been much. But here, he knows he has best chance of attaining a majority. But the poor fellow will be the laughing stock of the world soon before he realizes it once the elections are over. I kinda feel for him :((

Who would have thought he would resign 49 days into being a CM? And what's the big problem of having a another election at the expense of introducing such a important bill for the state and country?
