someone
If it turns out this plane flew over Indian airspace, what a mess by our Indian military for failing to notice that and not intercepting it. That itself has large security implications. So this is now a big issue for ourselves now as well.

Haarkarjeetgaye
the question is why did the pinging stop at 8 10 AM. if the plane was still around it would continue. right?
Raghav_12
Yes. Serious lapses in security. Not many indicators to suggest it came towards India. Some news reports suggest it was tracked to Australian shores off Perth. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2014-03-14/india-expands-search-for-malaysian-air-jet-as-u-dot-s-dot-sees-piracy Missing Malaysian Jet Said Tracked to Ocean Off Australia

Haarkarjeetgaye
by 8 10 am it would have run out of fuel wherever it was. if it was hijacked..why would it fly till fuel gets over OR it was still autopilot for the entire period
Raghav_12
if it was hijacked..why would it fly till fuel gets over OR it was still autopilot for the entire period I meant by 8 10 either it ran off fuel or was grounded. I believe it would stop sending signals once it is grounded.
Haarkarjeetgaye
this should also mean it did not crash on the land otherwise black box would have sent traceable pings?
someone
Not many indicators to suggest it came towards India. Some news reports suggest it was tracked to Australian shores off Perth. Which is why it is all a big if. So again IF, it does turn out that it did cross over to India (from eastern side to the western part). That's one major security blunder.
