Coach Sanjay Bangar, though, made it clear that the Australian Twenty20 captain was a unanimous choice. "Bailey arrives with a lot of experience under his belt. He is someone who has captained in the Australian domestic circuit and also leads the national side in T20s," said Bangar. Bangar is all praise for Bailey's leadership qualities. "He comes across as someone who is strong-willed, knows how to handle pressure and has strong work ethics. I am sure we will be able make use of these qualities," mentioned Bangar. Wasn't it tempting for the team management to name Sehwag as the captain? "To be honest, it was. But, we wanted Sehwag to express himself with a lot of freedom. We did not want to overburden him and when we conveyed our decision to him, Sehwag was very understanding. The priority for us is to ensure that Sehwag is back at doing what he does best - coming up with those stellar performances," Bangar said. The teams can't play more than four foreigners in each game and if there's a non-Indian captain, it sometimes becomes difficult to accommodate him in case of a loss of form. Both Hyderabad Sunrisers and Mumbai Indians faced situations last year when Kumar Sangakkara and Ricky Ponting lost form, but Bangar is not too bothered about it. "There have been foreign captains (Shane Warne for Rajasthan Royals) under whom teams have won the IPL. Who knows, it might be our turn," he said. Most of the players have been asked to assemble at Mohali on April 7, before they embark on their IPL journey.
