Scarface Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 GG Fedex :nice: What is the idea behind not exchanging Queens and promoting b pawn
f.b.m Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I think the critical point of the game was 14. nxe4. I was thinking of either taking that pawn (not because I wanted the pawn but it opens up my light squared bishop) or playing nc4 which is safer. I looked at all sorts of sacrifices but missed a basic intermediate move :/.

Scarface Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 thanks..which move? After the Rook exchange, moves 41 to 43. I was thinking they should be aimed at exchanging pieces and promoting the passed pawn which is not under any threat. Am I missing something?

FischerTal Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 FedEx beats fbm in round 3 RESULT: Fedex(white)-fbm(black) 1-0
FischerTal Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 Round 5 fixtures will be up by tomorrow
FischerTal Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 How on earth am i gonna qualify now:facepalm: Your team is winning
GautiMaan Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 the team that has the most numbers of points after 10 rounds will advance to the candidates tournament. for the two losing teams, the player who has scored the most points for his particular team will also advance to the next stage, so in total, we will have 5 players for the candidates touranment, where it will just become an one-on-one duel against others. Team green(:finger:) is way ahead Only way for me to qualify is to be ahead of fedex and ikxip which has become way more harder now that fedex has beaten fbm
