Prashant Bhushan for referendum on Army's J&K deployment NEW DELHI: Senior AAP leader Prashant Bhushan sparked a controversy on Sunday by calling for a referendum in Kashmir to decide whether or not the Indian Army should be deployed to deal with internal threats in the valley. "People should be asked whether they want the army to handle the internal security of Kashmir. Any decision which does not have the backing of the people is undemocratic. If people feel that the army is violating human rights and they say they don't want the army to be deployed for their security then the army should be withdrawn from the hinterland," Bhushan said in an interview to TV channel Aaj Tak. "The government can decide if the Army needs to be deployed to deal with external threats along the border. The government can also decide if the army needs to be kept to help protect the minorities in the valley. But there should be a referendum on whether people want AFSPA to continue in the valley or not," he added. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Prashant-Bhushan-for-referendum-on-Armys-JK-deployment/articleshow/28451882.cms
This is Bhushan calling for plebiscite in Kashmir : ffzQIQh0plI This is another leader Kamal Chinoy calling for unity against Indian state: BjpxKNfCUAEK2TS.jpg Medha Patkar partially endorses Bhushan's views on Kashmir, especially on withdrawal of AFSPA (around 50 min) http://www.ndtv.com/elections/video/player/political-roots/political-roots-with-medha-patkar/314301 This PAAP party is full of anti-nationals and traitors.

Medha Patkar also believed Afzal Guru and Ajmal Kasab deserved clemency ..
On a show telecast on NDTV, she also agreed with Bhushan's comments on Kashmir.

Reading comprehension failure - I asked you to worry about what you post. It is your discretion to visit the threads you want and same for me. However, consistency of opinion is paramount else it is a clear indication of bias.

Yes. In this day and age people shouldn't be forced into anything. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

How do you we know what they want? Indications are that people in the valley feel betrayed by Pakistan and are likely to go for the third option. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

1.At present we have proper govt in J&K,as well as strong opposition parties, they can take care of most problems [Entire country faces different problems,J&K is not alone in having issues] 2.We cannot take example of POK as there people may have realized how life is when aligned with Pakistan. India is totally different from Pakistan. 3.There is every possibility extremists can influence the referendum, easy to threaten/influence people based on threats/religion etc. 4.People who desperately want to move outside should have done it already.
