Ojha is probably as good as Ashwin in Indian conditions. Asian spinners normally need lot of match experience to perform outside SC. Australia is usually terrible for spinners - Murali averages 70+ there, so does Ajmal. Kumble used to be horrible in Australia in his early years. Abdul Qadir averages 47 outside Pakistan, so very few spinners have had success in all conditions. Even Warne could not be labelled a complete bowler by your definition as he was substandard in both India and West Indies.

15 degree law is what we have best at the moment. Until we could test bowlers real time during matches, this should be the best practice. Banning people because their actions look dodgy is going back to stone age. If the naked eye is so good, then you don't need DRS or the third umpire too.

Because any bowler capable of bowling well for 2-3 years is worth investing in. We are not exactly brimming with bowling talent that "only young and supremely talented people, who can potentially play 70-100+ tests may apply" now, is it ? At this stage, in the tests, we'd be lucky to have any bowler who can take even 100-150 wickets at a decent average/in ODIs anybody capable of more than 1.25 wicket/match at a decent economy rate. Indian set-up and mentality is wrong. We act like we have really good physique and actioned kids going around who can bowl well enough to make it at a young age ( 19-22/23) and then have awesome careers. So, we give chances to young bowlers only and those who show even the remotest amount of promise & application ( like ishant sharma), we stick to them no matter what, hoping they pan out. We did this with zaheer too- at one point in his career, he was utter crap and young-ish but no, we stuck with him and luckily he panned out. This is particularly bad because most successful bowling units in the last 20 years have actually been a young-ish *superstar/superstars* accompanied by seasoned older guys picked at the right times in their career. We got to get over this mentality that 'no, a 27 yr old or a 33 year old is too old, nomatter what they do, they cannot play for the national team'. One simple way India can go about improving its overall bowling is to automatically include the highest wicket taking pace bowler & spinner from the last Ranji season into the initial sixteen. It may not work immediately but atleast it will promote the bowlers in FC cricket to totally focus on one thing only: take wickets. Forget about bursts of 'tailunt' or 'amazing hauls' for a moment, lets just encourage consistent wicket-taking.
