The way kohl is reacting to every ball, seems he really wants to be captain.

Yes, yes, because we didn't get white washed in the overseas tours at all, People like you deserve every defeat we get because you are so averse to changes
after some changes we r getting 0-1 & 0-1 results instead of expected 0-2 and 0-2 :giggle:

He's scoring runs alright but shouldn't act in a way which puts pressure on others in the team. After all' date=' he's a part of a team.[/quote'] What pressure did he put on the players?? Anybody would have become frustrated the way Yuvi was playing. I would loved it if he would have given Yuvi some BC MC right in middle. That was only in the last match. How come fist thumping while batting exerts pressure on his own teammates :dontknow: Some people are bitter and can never be happy

Then you have no idea of team dynamics. Abusing at a struggling member, albeit a senior one that, does not help the cause one bit. And even I am referring to only yesterday. But, constant cribbing after every ball does not help one bit. PS I am not bitter. He's been brilliant but I don't agree to what he was doing yesterday.

If that one person is the single reason for losing a world cup, then team dynamics go to drain. It is better to throw that person outta team rather than try and act like every thing is honky dory. Yuvi was defending balls in the 15th over. That is not struggling.

Throw out of the team? Yes. Do all sorts of antics on field? No.

It is difficult for everybody to "appear cool" when clearly someone else is screwing up the chance to win a freaking world cup

Do you really want me to write the same thing again and again? Let's agree to disagree.

I don't think anybody can act while playing sports really. When you are giving your 100% and trying to win a match, trivial things like acting or how others are thinking will never come to mind. All the concentration would be on batting.

Ind shud not even think replacing Dhoni till 2015WC in any format...
What if India get swept by England again ? Is the WC more important than continued losses abroad.

If he fails in the Test series, there will be a change. Not sure about ODIs.

The handshaking with Sanga is fine however it wasn't needed at that point of time. I don't like his constant sneering that he does at the non-striker's end. Yesterday, though UV was struggling a more saner head would have looked to calm him down. He's the biggest batsman in the team so whatever he says/does holds a lot of value now so he should be careful. But, I am not sure why he does it. To be in limelight or does he actually always played like this..
he captained in zim he did not show much emotion .Even when he captained rcb he did not react everyball.I do not know if he was trying to hide his emotions and now he is his real self or vice versa.May be its his way of pumping himself up and maintain concentartion.

a)No WC or ICC Trophy b)No test series win anywhere for 2+ years c)No test series win away for 3+ years (predates India's last overseas win). Do you think Miss-baba should stay on?

And exit in the 1st round like Asia cup :haha:
Cant dhoni play as a pure wk batsman in loi and guide him for a year or two? We lost those matches in asia cup due to bad keeping more than anything else really.

But conflict of interest means he is untouchable. We all know after oz series selction committee decided to sack him but in stepped srini in massive conflict of interest to say no way and intervened. Only hope is now srini may be out, dynamics may be changed and things done on merit and what is right thing. Which of course is sacking dhoni

Pros and cons of Kohli taking over as captain: Pros: - he has a good cricketing brain and his tactics might be good. - he probably won't be as passive as dhoni when fellow players are under-performing. I.e. Under-performers will be dropped. - will probably add a bit of spice to games in terms of sledging compared to nice guy dhoni, so we might get under the opposition's skin a bit more. - he loves the attention of being the main man and it might drive him to become a better batsman. Cons: - if he's over aggressive it might marginalise some players in the team and lead to a bad team atmosphere. - I don't think Dhoni's particularly a bad captain so perhaps no need to create a new test for kohli when he is making big progress with his own game.
