India A tour of Australia in July- Aug

Why is Unadkat in the team ? He has neither pace nor swing. No Bumrah in the quadrangular series ? He bowls good yorkers and can be economical. I was hoping to see atleast one of Karanveer Singh or Y. Chahal. Both are leg spinners who can turn the ball big. No Suyal or Gony ?
This is the main reason along with Dhobi that besides having talented pacers in the wings who have pace and can be match winners we pick up loosers like Unadkunt , VK, also no incentive for bowlers who have pace and skills to work harder as they know they are being looked at. Pace is natural you cannot create a sprinter same way maybe add 4 kph but what does a limited bowler in terms of pace , not having enough pace, is not tall, cannot bat offer?

unadkat is a proven failure. suyal would have been a better choice than him. anureet is an unknown quantity at highest level. so we should definitely test him. i guess selectors wanted to give chance to maximum number of performers from domestic competitions and ipl. may be thats why some players who were expected to be in both teams are only included in one team. like kedhar yadav, karun nair, bumrah, ... chahal and karanveer singh have not so impressive first class records. May be thats why they were not considered. Shreyas Gopal turns the ball more than these 2 guys and has an impressive start to first clas career. Even he was not considered.

Anureet's performance in the second innings had prompted Abhay to say the bowler was ready for the international level, and he reiterated that opinion on Sunday. "At times during this season, he touched 140kph. He was not so fast last season, but he has been able to build up his pace well. He has shaped up really well, and he is ready."

Upadhyay who plays with him for Railways is a better bowler then him.
after all this is not senior india team buddy. with 44 wickets at 17.56 avg in last ranji season, he has done enough to deserve a place in A team. I have not seen upadhayay bowl. Is he a good bowler? Has anyone seen him bowl. Can't see his name in top performers from last year: http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ranji-trophy-2013-14/engine/records/bowling/most_wickets_career.html?id=8307;type=tournament

The only way a 125 to 130 bowler to be accommodated in the team would be if he can bat damn well' date=' even if he is skillful and the pitch favor's him he will be one dimensional and not be able to bowl well at all stages of the game that is basic knowledge , logic[/quote'] He is very young. He looks like a fast bowler who wants to bowl quick. I have seen him clocking 135 plus in a spell. He is a good prospect and deserves a chance to play in India A. Its not as if he have plenty of 140 plus bowlers are waiting to be picked.

Why dont the fast bowlers force the selectors to pick them by picking loads of wickets. If trundlers can pick so many wickets, surely a good bowler bowling 140+ should be picking 5-fers for fun. Doesn't quite happen, right? WHich means the fast bowlers may not be as good as they are perceived to be.

India's best test bowler is not in England but touring with A-team  Another feck up by our selectors...
Umesh not being picked for England was poor call but if he is indeed our best test bowler, he should be blowing away batting line ups of A sides. Let him do that in the A tour and he could be in England immediately after that performance especially at a time when our bowlers look set to have a hard struggle in England.
