G_B_ Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Further like to add, The BJP should move on quickly from Delhi. There will be enough time to reform the Delhi state unit. There is a situation in Bihar. Concentrate on the union budget and Bihar.
adi B Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 the state unit is in a disarray, bedi is incompetent and an opportunist.she should be out. have tosay that there is not a single leader in delhi who can take on kejriwal,be it cong,be bjp.bjp have to spring up and groom a young leader who can take on kejriwal

Sachin=GOD Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 The BJP needs to reform its state unit. The BJP has consistently polled in the 30-36% region for the last 20 years. Questions have to be asked as to why this is the case? Every state election the BJP retains its core voters. In 2013 BJP+SAD got 33% in 2015 BJP + SAD got 33%. In the 2014 lok sabha the BJP got 46%. So the question the BJP has to ask is where are the 13-14% voters who backed them in 2014 gone? Obviously the BJP now need a new leader. The aim should be for 40% plus of the vote. The Congress has totally collapsed in the state. This planting of a new leader has to stop and IMO BJP need to project a CM candidate. Joint leadership needs to stop. the state unit is in a disarray, bedi is incompetent and an opportunist.she should be out. have tosay that there is not a single leader in delhi who can take on kejriwal,be it cong,be bjp.bjp have to spring up and groom a young leader who can take on kejriwal Bringing back Dr. Harshwardhan is the only good solution IMO. He is exactly the kind of leader who can take on Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi image.
G_B_ Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 You dont need to rush into things. Harsh Vardhan is 60 and will be 65 come next election time. Need a younger face. Around 1 year from the next election Delhi BJP needs to make that call. Involve the cadre in making the calls on who that leader should be.

Concentrate on the union budget and Bihar. this election should act as a wake up call for the bjp.hope it'll galvanize the party cadre come september Oh I'm sure there will be severe repercussions for many people. If BJP had merely lost then it wouldn't have been so bad and that could have been digested by the party leadership but this is utter humiliation. Dilli mein dande chalengey ab.... And this should also be a big warning sign for the BJP with regards to the Hindutva agenda being run by RSS/MPs like Sakshi, Adityanth etc. Stop all that otherwise a lot of people who supported BJP in Lok Sabha will start looking for alternatives....and in politics it doesn't take long for an alternative to rise (just look at AAP). Also, stop this arrogance.

But my guess is that someone like Smriti Irani may be moved to Delhi at some point....she has Modi's complete backing and her name was in contention earlier also. Though I must add that she is not a good administrator by any means.

G_B_ Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 hmmm is there any young gun you know adi who might develop into a good mass leader?
asterix Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 is there any young gun you know adi who might develop into a good mass leader? Why ditch Kiran Bedi? She might learn and come back strongly. She's willing to stay in BJP.. If you keep doing random things, nothing constructive will happen. KB is a social worker. Give her opportunity and resources to work in Delhi region right from now... Also beware of Anna Hazare... BJP should not sit on the selection of Lokpal. BJP has already sorted out the LOP issue for the appointment of Lokpal. Should quickly do something else you'll have another monkey on your back.... Anna starting his agitation in Delhi supported by Delhi Govt. Modi/Shah should stop doing any more chewtiyapas...
asterix Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Now you admit this huh. You were calling me an idiot for saying ANNA HAZARE impact. If this happens especially 2 years before next election where Delhi government supports Hazare agitation - modi will lose just like congress. Calm down.. When did I called you Idiot? Why so angry? Kejriwal asked his followers to not become arrogant... :icflove:

I would have continued with her provided she had won her own seat which was a safe seat of Harsh Vardhan. You cannot continue with a person who has been rejected at all levels by the electorate. I am more than willing to accommodate her into the BJP via Rajya sabha.

Big time sabotage done to BJP candidates. She was paratrooped 17 days ahead of election... Not only her, many BJP stalwarts lost in this elections... She should be in BJP to counter Anna in future (You never know). The best option then is to bring back Harshwadhan... And start building up from now onwards. You never know with AAP. They might not last 5 years. Anything can happen...

Seeing her campaign, and more importantly, talk, its clear enough that she is just not fit for politics. She just cannot go door to door to ask people what BJP did wrong or revive the entire state organization. For that you just have to have a politician - IMO Dr. Harshwardhan is the best bet.

Especially senior leaders need to be pensioned off by making them part of some national committee in some other part of the country. The BJP does still control the municipal wards before the state government. So you need to identify capable young guns from those areas. I am not against Harsh Vardhan. I like him.But the problem with him is that it will mean the other factions start to play up. Somebody new and energetic who is a good orator is the need of the hour. Somebody who is local and knows the ins and out of the city and its needs. If nobody like that is found then Harsh Vardhan is it. The way i see it BJP need to add about 10% of their vote count from this election. Is Harsh Vardhan the man to deliver that?
