diga Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 maybe cause she is not from Delhi? and would be **** at administration? Smriti Irani is from Delhi.. check her bio its another matter she is still a novice
asterix Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 BJP needs a mass clearout thats for sure in Delhi. Especially senior leaders need to be pensioned off by making them part of some national committee in some other part of the country. The BJP does still control the municipal wards before the state government. So you need to identify capable young guns from those areas. I am not against Harsh Vardhan. I like him.But the problem with him is that it will mean the other factions start to play up. Somebody new and energetic who is a good orator is the need of the hour. Somebody who is local and knows the ins and out of the city and its needs. If nobody like that is found then Harsh Vardhan is it. The way i see it BJP need to add about 10% of their vote count from this election. Is Harsh Vardhan the man to deliver that? The unit is messed up. They'll not allow anybody to go on the top. If you really want then that young lady who fought against Kejri can be promoted but she'll need all the backing from the Wandhans, Goels, Jollys etc. The less said about MCD, the better. MCD must be one of the reasons of todays rout... AAP is anyway going to target the corrupt practices in MCD and highlight them to further discredit BJP... Major feckup by BJP of not getting their act together in these 8 months... Whatever it does now will be afterthought...

The MCD have limited powers. There are somany agencies in action there. State government, NCR etc etc. Its a minefield.
G_B_ Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Smriti Irani is from Delhi.. check her bio its another matter she is still a novice ok fair enough. But the point about being a **** admin stands.

Anyone from the Dilli unit who resists change will be sacked - you can be sure of that. In 5 year they can build a fecking new unit from the ground if they want so anyone complaining about a new leader etc will be shown the door. Also, I do expect some retirements and some others to leave the party.
diga Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 were shazia & binny trojan horses let loose by kejriwal ? :--D
G_B_ Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Moving on There is an important election in WB in the Bongoan lok sabha constituency the candidate there of the TMC died. (RIP) and the BJP have made his brother lok sabha candidate (was a TMC minister) and his father an MLA candidate (to replace his son) TMC is expected to win the lok sabha seat easily. Battle is for number 2 between BJP and CPM. The assembly seat is expected to be a close fight between TMC and the BJP. I feel if the BJP can win in the MLA seat atleast it will cause many more from the TMC to defect. Coming second in the polls for the lok sabha will signal to the people of WB that the BJP are the official opposition. BJP need to beat the CPM thats for sure. Beating the TMC is a further objective.

If MIM/AAP get there,BJP ...
bulbul Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 If MIM/AAP get there' date='BJP ...[/quote'] MIM is good for BJP.
G_B_ Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 If MIM/AAP get there' date='BJP ...[/quote'] AAP will target kolkata.... MIM whole of WB
Yoda-esque Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 AAP will target kolkata.... MIM whole of WB BJP has established its core user base, rest have to beat 31%
G_B_ Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 BJP has established its core user base' date=' rest have to beat 31%[/quote'] you need to get out of that mentality. The BJP is not going to reach 31% in the next election in WB they with luck will probably reach 25% which should be enough to topple the CPM. I doubt if the BJP will ever form government in WB. But the idea is to ensure you get 10-12 lok sabha seats on a regular basis from the state. The same thing in TN, you need to reach a state whereby you need to get maybe 5-6 lok sabha seats out of the state. Their core states where they have the potential to form government or where they have formed government before Guj, MP, Chattisgrah, Jharkhand, Rajasthan Bihar, Maharashtra , Haryana, Delhi (despite the loss they have the potential and have formed government before) , Uttarakhand , Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka , Uttar Pradesh, Goa Places where they can become a force on their own or through leading an organisation of parties Telagana, AP, Assam, Punjab Places where they are in the doldrums or have a limited chance or are range bound Tripura, WB, Orissa (even after Modi wave Congress polled more), Tamil Nadu, Kerela and many other north east states like Manipur, JnK Ups and downs keep happening. But the motto is simple. At any point or time and That is what i define as the bare minimum for the BJP as a political party.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I talked to a lot of BJP supporters today and almost all of them are happy that BJP lost (though unhappy at the humiliating margin of defeat). Most people gave these reasons: 1. Modi/Shah are perceived as having become quite arrogant since coming to power hence this loss is seen as a good reality check for them. 2. Extremists elements and religious intolerance is not being controlled by Modi - hasn't taken any strict action against any person till now. Youngsters especially seem concerned with this point. 3. Entire Delhi unit, especially Dr. Harshwardhan, was ignored and not taken into confidence before parachuting an outsider like Kiran Bedi. 4. Incredibly negative campaign - most people seemed to be really put off by BJP's constant attacks instead of going for a development based campaign. Obviously its only the people I talked to and that too in Lko but these seem to be the big reasons why BJP supporters are happy at BJP's loss. Has anyone else noticed these points being raised today or earlier as well?
AmreekanDesi Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Whatever anyones opinion, one thing is for sure This is the triumph of democracy in India and is proof to the common man that democracy works and is a power they have which can bring even stalwarts from established parties like BJP and Congress to its knees. I hope Modi and the band of idiots he has lately surrounded himself with realize this. They can be sent packing with even more haste and disgrace than the fanfare they were ushered in with

They can be sent packing with even more haste and disgrace than the fanfare they were ushered in with and what happens if BJP win Bihar using the same tactics that used in delhi? Mistakes were made no doubt but lets keep in mind BJP have won major states prior to delhi. Just in December they wont Jharkhand.

Sachin=GOD Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 The same question to you ' date=' what happens if BJP win Bihar using the same tactics?[/quote'] I'm not saying that the 4 points I listed are reasons for BJP's loss in Delhi. These are simply the reasons given by BJP supporters for being happy at BJP's loss.
