Zap_Brannigan Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 He is not good enough to be the main batsman of any team. A team shouldn't be spending 20% of its money on a such a player. But he has been a very good player in the IPL. Not as good as raina or dhoni but definitely better than rahane and rayadu. But thats just one side of things. He is clearly the best batsman keeper in the IPL after dhoni which is why he gets the money he gets in the IPL.

Roshanrocks Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 He was priced heavily only because he is an indian wicket keeper batsman.. In IPL terms, with 4 foreign player cap thats a huge advantage. He also was part of trophy lifting MI side last season and I think did well then... I would guess he is currently the 2nd best Indian wicket keeping batsman and so his high price at auction was justified! His high price was just due to the supply - demand factor.... just like the Pathan's and Yuvi have commanded in different seasons.
