1. It is *NOT* universally accepted that foetus is not a human life. What is universally accepted in the scientific community, is that the foetus is human life in the last 2 months of pregnancy for sure and it is NOT a human life for the first two months of pregnancy. The rest 5 months are 'grey area'. This is why many pro-choice nations ban late term abortions unless there is a medical complication involved.
I'd love to see some scientists' opinions on this. Like a quote from an embryology text book.
2. It is criminal negligence because one deliberately used an option ( abortion), that carries a certai inherent risk towards the mother and ignored the option that is far less risk. (this is not about whether abortion is more/less risk than pregnancy/childbirth, its about if abortion is more/less risk than other contraceptives. The answer is decisively, yes)
Fair enough
I said specifically that people who deliberately use abortion as a contraceptive over condoms, pills or IUDs, should have some criminal negligence charge levied against them, because they chose an option, deliberately so, which is way riskier than the methods used by 99% of society for contraception, with 99% or more success rate.
It is one thing if you became pregnant and aborted after taking necessary precautions. If you didnt take any precautions, then i don't believe you should go scot-free for subjecting yourself to a risky medical procedure and if its after 2 months, potentially terminating human life for being irresponsible.
Imagine you are a doctor; a pregnant woman walks in and tells you the man used a condom, but the condom broke and so they are electing to have an abortion. Would you just take her word for it? How do you enforce the criminal negligence law in such cases? Finally, what do you say to President Obama's opinion (see video above) that one must not be punished with a baby just because they made one mistake?

First of all' date=' it is accepted that a fetus is not a human life.[/quote']This is an unscientific conclusion. Unless there's a miscarriage or abortion, there is only one thing a fertilized human egg will develop into - a human being. It doesn't germinate into a plant or any other life form, does it? This is the only way we know a human life comes into being. Babies, alive and kicking, don't come out of nowhere... storks don't bring them home. ...from the Nobel laureate who has punished with a drone even them whose only mistake was - being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yes but the human life is not human life at the point of fertilization. At that point, its just a special tumor, that will grow into a person. There is no life b4 brain function... Sent from my GT-S5830D using Tapatalk 2

How do you distinguish it from any other case where the couple claims they used a condom and it broke? *Elective abortion = any abortion that is not related to rape, incest or danger to mother's life.

There is no hiding of guilt. It's so brazen equates to manslaughter, imo. Effectively it is the same, but in the latter cases it doesn't seem to be deliberate in others' perspective. Foetus or Life, it's an organic thing inside your body. There is so much disregard to such an entity. There is no problem if she had done it private, but making a spectacle of yourself and celebrating shows that she wants her 15 minutes.
