I don't know how reliable it is but for some reason NDTV seems to be giving updates for far more seats than all other media groups - they are giving updates for 52 seats currently ...

I am newbie so explain postal ballots are those sent by people who are living somewhere else so they can't vote in their constituency. They send their votes by postal ballot and these votes are counted before the EVMs are opened.
