People are celebrating here in Newyork/ New jersey with BJP flags, no one would have bothered had Congress led UPA got a majority.

Where as UPA kept on going from communal stuff to caste and blah blah. I have never seen this where the Ruling party goes defensive instead of setting the pace of the election. Also, Modi ran this campaign in full management style. The case study will be awesome. He infused the consciousness of people by being present there 100 % of time. Yep, BJP or rather Modi set the agenda. The agenda was all about Modi and his development. Many opposition focused on diminishing or ridiculing such an agenda and the persson. The message the public got was the opposition was not concerned about development but more about personal accusations and burqa of secularism. Opposition should have fought Modi's agenda was their own development discussion. We never heard about Congress/Rahul Gandhi and his development or AAP/Kejriwal and his development.

I think he must have addressed twice the number of rallies Narendera Modi is different thing to different people. To some he is developmental. To others it is hindustva. To others he is somebody who came out of nothing to rise through the ranks of th BJP and become king. Problem with the congress was. Firstly, blaming the people for being "dumb" and voting BJP, opening speaking about vote-bank politics, and even questioning Modi's caste. Such a dumb group of politicians we have, so much dependent on Muslims or Dalits that they are now openly threatening them for voting elsewhere. In her speech, there was absolutely no talk about development, achievements, track record and she wondered why BSP didn't get a single seat. That answers itself.
