G_B_ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Question is not that. This RS concept looks outdated. BSP having 14 seats without even having a single seat in LS & not in power in UP' date=' and having a big say in policy decisions is horrible.[/quote'] agree.

BeautifulGame Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 In a first by any single party in the state, the AIADMK will send four women as part of its 37-member strong force to the Lok Sabha. All four women candidates, Vasanthi Murugesan (Tenkasi), R Vanaroja (Tiruvannamalai), V Sathyabama (Tirupur) and Maragatham Kumaravel (Kancheepuram), emerged victorious with sizeable victory margins. The MPs-elect were among the 14 women candidates fielded by parties in Tamil Nadu. The winners defeated their nearest male rivals with margins ranging between 1.4 lakh and 1.6 lakh votes. Until now, the state has sent only 10 women members to Lok Sabha since 1991. Four women from DMK, three each from AIADMK and Congress represented Kanyakumari, Rasipuram, Tiruchengode, Ramanathapuram, Tiruchendur, Sriperumbudur and Nagapattinam LS constituencies. The women felt that party chief J Jayalalithaa's bold move in contesting on her own and taking on her opponents single-handedly won her the massive mandate. Said Vanaroja, "I am the first woman in my constituency to get elected to the Lok Sabha. The victory is Amma's, not mine. People reinforced faith in her governance". She holds a masters' degree in history and degree in education. With five lakh voters endorsing her candidature, Vanaroja wants to develop the backward Tiruvannamalai constituency. She is Tiruvannamalai (South) district women's wing secretary. Said Kancheepuram MP-elect Maragatham Kumaravel, "Amma is my role model and I will do my best with her support". A commerce graduate, she credited her victory to Jayalalithaa's welfare schemes. She defeated DMK strongman G Selvam by a margin of 1.46 lakh votes. Sathyabhama trounced N Dineshkumar of DMDK, an ally of BJP by a margin of 1.79 lakh votes. "It was a Amma wave," she said. Party's Tirunelveli district (urban) joint secretary, Sathyabama pointed out that Jayalalithaa had fielded six women for the mayoral elections for ten corporations in 2011. All of them won, signifying a potential role for women in civic bodies. Amma real women empowerment :isalute:
adi B Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 amma got 37 in one state, cong got 44 all over india :phehehe:
Sachin=GOD Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 NDTV @ndtv 19m Narendra Modi calls Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, assures cooperation with the state government Expected that. BJP shouldn't have any problems in RS as long as they ensure cooperation with some state Govts.

Sachin=GOD Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 BJD TRS and Amma come to mind Yeah. But BJP may also need to find a way to work with Mayawati because currently she has 14 RS MPs. The real issue is for Mamta.Read somewhere that WB depends on central govt handouts for 50% of their budget. Now with the poor real relationship with Modi not sure how she is gone manage Mamta is completely unpredictable - nobody knows when she might turn in favor of or against BJP/NDA...
FischerTal Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 feck her. LOL i bet the trinamool are *****ing a brick despite rigging their way to 34 seats. There is no shortage of non nda parties to deal with. its not about Mamata. its about the people of West Bengal. you have to accept that they have chosen her as their leader, so if Modi stays true to his words, he has to find a way to work with her for the interests of the Bengali people
BeautifulGame Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Yeah. But BJP may also need to find a way to work with Mayawati because currently she has 14 RS MPs. CBI lol Its not that hard to find a way to work with Mayawathi is it:winky:
G_B_ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 its not about Mamata. its about the people of West Bengal. you have to accept that they have chosen her as their leader' date=' so if Modi stays true to his words, he has to find a way to work with her for the interests of the Bengali people[/quote'] every state should get by a formula whats coming to them the people for maharashtra have given a clear mandate to SS-BJP. Why would we miss out? Why should other states fund "poriborton" and keep her in power providing her people with cushy government jobs?
FischerTal Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 every state should get by a formula whats coming to them the people for maharashtra have given a clear mandate to SS-BJP. Why would we miss out? Why should other states fund "poriborton" and keep her in power providing her people with cushy government jobs? well naturally, some states will get more than others, but there shouldn't be a huge discrepancy, which amounts to vendetta form of governance
G_B_ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 and honestly the BJP dont need mayawati concentrate on the economy for the first 2-3 years. Then go for social changes via the rajya sabha. By that time mayawati will be reduced even in the rajya sabha
G_B_ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 well naturally' date=' some states will get more than others, but there shouldn't be a huge discrepancy, which amounts to vendetta form of governance[/quote'] there is not. at present the likes of WB get above average share. Bring down their share to what a maahrashtra or gujrart gets. the people of WB want to improve their lives in reform yourselves.
FischerTal Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 there is not. at present the likes of WB get above average share. Bring down their share to what a maahrashtra or gujrart gets. the people of WB want to improve their lives in reform yourselves. well thats because of the policies of the glorious Commie raj. WB, once India's shining and prosperous economic powerhouse, was turned into a dump in 35 years.
G_B_ Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 well thats because of the policies of the glorious Commie raj. WB' date=' once India's shining and prosperous economic powerhouse, was turned into a dump in 35 years.[/quote'] as i said feck them and feck the people of WB if they are dumb enough to keep voting such a stupid economic literate people in. The only reason WB has made social progress is cause their social policies are funded by states like Guj Maha and Tamil nadu. I have no issues with Amma. Tamil nadu is developing well and is not dependent on the central gov. Yes there will be clashes on the Tamil issue. But i expect the bjp and aiadmk to get over that bump.
