bulbul Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Dude, please don't try this BS on me. If you don't know, say don't know - at best don't post at all! The context is clear in case you can't realize it. People are expecting (quite naturally) for Congress leaders to congratulate Modi. I was wondering if Modi did the same in 2009. . I don't have to put BS on you, you do it to yourself. OP is about MS who refused to congratulate Modi when asked by reporter. Sonia & Rahul congratulated 'future' government, eventhough at that time its very clear who is going to be PM. So this is the context. As i said once & otrhers said Modi is not a big national leader in 2009,so there is no question of whetehr he congratulated UPA, as he is not even in competetion at that time.
Crookbond Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Was Modi a national level player in 2009? Was he even projected as a PM candidate? He might have congratulated but there is little chance that might get newspaper mention. There is a difference between Sonia raga not congratulating Modi in this election. That's close to an answer which I was looking at. So, we still don't know if he has or has not.

Don't wriggle too much, first read and understand (there is a problem on this part which you regularly seem to face. Here is what the OP said Add to this that no Congreess leader or the Gandhis have even congratulated Mr.Modi or BJP by name shows the arrogance they posses. So it is not just about MS, like the BS that you are spouting. The context is about gracious congratulations during an electoral win. If Congress leaders are supposed to do it in 2014, then BJP leaders are supposed to do it in 2004 and 2009 as well. I was wondering if they did but you are too thick to understand such a simple question.

Crookbond Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8051847.stm Thanks, so Advani did indeed congratulate MMS in a private phone call just like MMS did to Modi.

Where is your if X did that does Y required to do that formula, there must be some limit to hypocrisy. Just because OP said Congress leaders doesn't mean every other posters meant same..i have said very clearly top leaders and even asked you whether Modi was a top leader in 2009. Every party have 100s of leaders, are we going to check each and every leaders comment? As I said earlier stop going personal, you cant take if people you give it back, proved many times before as well.
adi B Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Thanks' date=' so Advani did indeed congratulate MMS in a private phone call just like MMS did to Modi.[/quote'] what did u want to prove after raising the question?whats ur agenda man? who dafuq cares if modi congratulated them back in 2009 or if gandhis didnt wish this time or mms did?who cares man, these are irrelevant incidents and u have managed to fill a page out of it
Crookbond Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I would expect now people to take back their words? Guess not. NBTDilli: Sonia Gandhi wrote to PM elect Narendra Modi on May 20 congratulating him on the landslide victory for the BJP

The OP asks a question and suits your political allegiance - NO AGENDA. I ask the same question - What is your agenda? The duplicity in your post is brazenly visible.
Precambrian Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I would expect now people to take back their words? Guess not. Nope, obviously she caved into pressures, nobody congratulates the winner after a week In elections.
Crookbond Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Nope' date=' obviously she caved into pressures, nobody congratulates the winner after a week In elections.[/quote'] Pressured by who? bulbul and this ICF thread. Common man - lets not spin conspiracy theories. Accept it, Sonia Gandhi congratulated. There is a Modi "tsunami" in this country. Modi gave a good speech during the parliamentary board meeting. Modi's choice to invite the SAARC leader is a great move but is reeking of hypocrisy as he lambasted the UPA government on the same parameter. Accept the facts, don't create data points to suit your theory. A week in the calendar which the normal world lives is 6 days btw.

The best time for giving that was during the acceptance speech. Not after a week when everything subsided. So suddenly what led to her rethink? Life is not just ICF. Occam razor, she caved into pressure. Seriously dude, what is this? Deep inside you know all this posturing against common sentiment you know is wrong, but you want to do it because it gives you attention. Seriously sad mate.

Sonia would have been way too emotional during the acceptance speech. Can't expect to be too magnanimous at that time. Ultimately she congratulated him and that's all that matters. Unless one just wants to nitpick on everything
Texan Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 what did u want to prove after raising the question?whats ur agenda man? who dafuq cares if modi congratulated them back in 2009 or if gandhis didnt wish this time or mms did?who cares man, these are irrelevant incidents and u have managed to fill a page out of it Piece of advice for you mate: There are many people here and elsewhere who have got their @$$e$ badly burnt after the election results. It's okay. Let them just keep their rant going. They will make little sense and the sane thing to do is to let them vent out their frustrations and not respond back.
bulbul Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I would expect now people to take back their words? Guess not. I am not going to stop till Rahul Gandhi also congratulated Modi. ps : calm down, why you are getting upset at people who target Gandhi family :icflove:

Deep inside you know all this posturing against common sentiment you know is wrong, but you want to do it because it gives you attention. Seriously sad mate. What is sad is that rather than talking the issue at hand you spin another kaanspiracy theory (littered with ad hominem) to cover another kaanspiracy theory (backed due to pressure). In the mean while, you have decimated Occam Razor's principle. Once again a week in the normal world is 7 days. Modi hasn't change that ... yet.
Crookbond Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I am not going to stop till Rahul Gandhi also congratulated Modi. ps : calm down, why you are getting upset at people who target Gandhi family :icflove: Rahul Gandhi will reply - "I already congratulated Lalit Modi on winning the RCA elections". :giggle: I am not against targeting Gandhi family man; say whatever you want but keep your stand consistent. Currently, too much kaanspiracy theory going on - always the victim card.
