Malcolm Merlyn Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Aiyar who infamously said that Modi will never become PM and he can try selling tea in the Congress connvention,made even more disparaging remarks.When asked for his reaction in Modi winning majority he replied that"Even Hitler won majority"Thats the most disrespectful comment on the electoral of this country. Add to this that no Congreess leader or the Gandhis have even congratulated Mr.Modi or BJP by name shows the arrogance they posses.Even after such a crushing defeat they dont have the humility to congratulate Modi and BJP.I hope the "JANTA" watches this and gives a befitting reply in future.These are the people who dont have any respect for the verdict of the people or their mandate of democracy.

Another one of those propaganda on social media which I was referring to in an earlier thread. Manmohan Singh called up Modi while I have seen tweets from Shashi Tharoor and even Digvijay Singh address to Modi (Modi has replied too). Heck! Digvijay said "Acche Din Laiye". I think there are others too who have sent in congratulatory messages and may not have been reported. As for Manishankar Aiyyar, he's one way or the other for most things ; he's despise for Modi is well known. His remarks and comparisons with the Third Reich are OTT and deplorable. Btw, Aiyyar also had two very interesting statements to make - (1) My remarks on chaiwalla were twisted and (2) I have Modi a verbal opportunity and he grabbed it. And for the Rajdeep/Sagarika fans out here Aiyar said to Rajdeep "I trust you even lesser than I trust Modi". :hysterical:

AAP should have expanded its base in punjab and haryana first instead of focusing all its energy on Varanasi and Amethi. Not just me, many AAP leaders themselves are saying that now

In terms of AAP, here are few problems I see - (1) Identity based politics over issue based ones, (2) Too much work for Kejriwal. and (3) Like you said, harakiri over seat selection. Let him nurse his sore @$$ Veteran Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar was trounced at the hustings with a vote count of 58,278 in the Mayiladuthurai Lok Sabha constituency. The AIADMK’s Bharathi Mohan pocketed victory with a massive margin of 2,76,597 votes by polling 5,12,521 votes. Mr.Bharathi Mohan beat Hyder Ali of the MNMK who contested in alliance with the DMK. Mr.Ali polled 2,35,924 votes. The Congress veteran is testing his luck in the constituency for the seventh time. Mr.Aiyar who has won the constituency thrice had to settle for the fourth spot. PMK’s Agoram emerged third with a total vote tally of 1,43,464 votes in the constituency with a sizeable Vanniyar votes. Mr.Aiyar’s defeat was stark in comparison with the low vote margin by which he lost the 2009 Lok Sabha poll in the constituency. In 2009, Mr.Aiyar had lost the poll by 36,854 votes after getting 3,27,235 votes. And if North India had Periyar in places like UP and Bihar instead of RSS and Imams running amok they would have grown and developled like Tamil Nadu as well

Second, Difference between North and South on the issue of development isn't just the presence/absence of an "enlightened" personality that preaches "self respect". North has been getting fecked for centuries. It is going to a take little more than 67 years to fix the place. I mean if you want to be fair.

So saying Periyar would have incited riots only shows the RSS Mayavathis and Imams incited mentality
