Dhawan, Kohli, Raina all the same. Gambhir is okay . But sadly West Indian cricket board will not allow Narine to play under him and also it is hard to captain by being not in the squad. So we are stuck with Tony.

Like it not Rohit is probably the best bet we have. if he can sustain his form as a player remains to be seen. But purely from a captaincy POV Rohit is streets ahead of Kohli and the likes of Dhavan. Personally speaking they should split the captaincy with Che becoming Test captain and somebody of kohli and Rohit the limited over.

Kohli has done well in Asia cup as a captain. Its the batting that cost us there. (including his own form) The runs that we put up against Pakistan and Lanka were below par on those wickets, and he did pretty well trying to defend them until DK screwed us up with his keeping. As far Tests is concerned, Pujara has a fair bit of experience and has been successful doing it, but my pick would still be Kohli. Leading in Test cricket is as hard as any but would give him more space and breathing time to lead the team and keep himself calm while doing so.

Rohit looks stuck when things don't go his way. Most captains do, but not when their bowlers go for runs early in an innings. He seems more terrified than the bowlers when they go for runs, and is a horrible leader for a team with youngsters, whereas Kohli has handled and done a pretty good job with Aaron. If its about cricketing brains, Ashwin has them too. May be better than him. But neither can be trusted for based on their performance so that's that.

You need a cooler head for tests. I had doubts about Che due to his knee problems but by the looks of it he is over that. HAs captained Saurashtra rather well. So has the experience. Rohit is not a spectacular captain. He is average. But whats with Kohli sticking with Yuvraj cause he is his idol and Dinda in the death overs? You would have to be brain dead to pick Dinda and bowl him at the death. MI for all their selection flaws juggled their team around till they have now found a decent combo.

Yea.. when Malinga, Mitchell Johnson, Smith play under him. :cantstop: Seriously Rohit sharma is an utter joke of a captain.

Rohit has also stuck with Harbhajjan despite him failing last year. Rohit had no other option but to juggle the XI throughout the season after the UAE debacle. Recent flaws of his is sticking with Ojha and sitting like a duck when Suyal was getting tonked around. I have no clue; what's the big deal about Rohit's captaincy?

If Ashwin can establish his place he can be given a shot. But he is somewhat arrogant which is not good.
Never liked the idea of giving a bowler the captaincy. Especially an Indian bowler, unless he is a Kumble.

I will interested to see if Ashwin can retain his place in the side after Eng and Aust series...let alone captaincy. His good performance in Dhaka T'20 WC made people forgot his atrocious overseas bowling.
