Rkt batting is very light in your xi. Ashwin is a good no 8 not no 5. Dhoni is yet to prove outside sub C. M vijay 15 to 20 run guy.

Ashwin is at 6 or 7 if Dhoni bats at 6. Ashwin certainly can be one test alrounder we are lookign at and he has shown that in tests he has played. Also, they want to play 5 bowlers, so I picked Ashwin instead of Binny and his bowling and batting both are better than Binny. Dry pitch is factor also comes into the picture and with 4-5 left handers in top 7, Ashwin can be handy as the game progresses. Otherwise, I would have GG at 6 and no Ashwin.

Yes I'd go with that team too ... as the reports suggest somewhat dry pitches for this series. If it's a typical swing/seam english wicket I won't mind Binny in place of Ashwin. We really have to give 5-bowler theory a try. We have gone nowhere with the 4-bowler in the last 3 years (abroad). Personally I hate the team being on the field for days with no intent because of lack of bowling options than getting out quickly while batting because of lack of batting depth.
