When Umesh used to bowl 140 k to 150 k between 2011 and 2017, he did not have a good bouncer.

 

Now, he is usually 133 k to 143 k but has developed a really good, accurate hostile bouncer.

 

And he is using it well.

Bro, just imagine how excited we would have been if Umesh were a new bowler and we had seen him bowl today.

 

We would have said ... there is this bowler who is bowling in good areas at good pace ... getting the ball to rear up from time to time and hitting Aussies on the head and body. And taking wicjets with both channel balls and bouncers.   

 

But once bitten twice shy. He may turn into a Dinda or a Vinay in a test match.

Has picked up Burns already.

 

Accuracy, pace, bounce, swing ... everything is there.

 

Bowling around off stump with odd quick short balls. Troubling batters with bounce.

Had a catch dropped off a widish ball though. And induced another outside edge.

 

He is bowling like the old Umesh ... some great balls and some really poor balls.
