@express bowling there has been some talk in the media of a Siraj injury, who do you think will come in?

Or if my Mumbai relatives have really blown up the pitch well overnight, maybe Ashwin? Would be risky though to change the template.

 

They may even go with Lord, for the false security of his batting, which you have pointed out very clearly on here is useless.

In case Siraj is injured, I would prefer to go with Prasidh and maintain the vicious 3 pronged pace attack combo which has been our greatest strength. 

 

Shardul would be my last choice as he is neither a proper pacer nor a spinner. Ashwin is better.

 

P.S .. This is why I really wanted Prasidh to get a game vs the Netherlands in place of Siraj. Got to plan for injuries / niggles.

I had the same thoughts as well, I actually felt that Ashwin and Prasidh both should have played and SKY should have been promoted up the order, just to give him plenty of batting time. Otherwise it was the perfect preparation for the finals. It was interesting as Dravid said there was plenty of break between India's game vs SA and Netherlands, however, I felt he ignored the shorter break between Netherlands and the Semi.

While I agree with you would want the same thing, I got a feeling if Siraj were to miss they would go for Thakur.
