Harbhajan Singh made an expected return to the 14-member Indian squad for the first two Tests against Pakistan. Murali Kartik, the left-arm spinner, was chosen as the third spin option, backing up Anil Kumble, India's new Test captain, and Harbhajan. Gautam Gambhir, Ramesh Powar, Ranadeb Bose and Ishant Sharma were the four who missed out from the England tour. Virender Sehwag, despite an imposing average of 91.14 against Pakistan, would have to wait longer for a recall, as would allrounder Irfan Pathan. Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth and RP Singh made up a the pace attack, one which had starred during India's Test series triumph in England, the first in 21 years. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India's one-day and Twenty20 captain, was handed over the vice-captaincy. The series begins on November 22 in Delhi after which the teams face off in Kolkata and Bangalore. India squad for first two Tests 1 Dinesh Karthik, 2 Wasim Jaffer, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 Sourav Ganguly, 6 VVS Laxman, 7 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), 8 Anil Kumble (capt), 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 Zaheer Khan, 11 Sreesanth, 12 Yuvraj Singh, 13 RP Singh, 14 Murali Kartik.

where did u go when ur crapathan was doing well?? hes stilll doing well in ODIs.. hes surely gonna break into test team very soon...
He is not a test bowler in any shape or form. In odis had a role to play if he could bowl straaight cos he can bat a bit. If you look at my posts for well over a year on crapthan always said he may be ok in odis if used as 5th/4th bowler only not frontline bowler!

We MUST attack the pakistanis with spin, that is our strength at home. I expect us to play both Anil and Bhajji in the first spin. And good to see the confidence expressed by the selectors on our openers. By including either Sehwag/Gambhir , they would have sent to some mixed signals to the team.
