Yeah and George Doebell thinks Cook has suddenly done enough to script a major turnaround! All that Cook needs is a pacier pitch. Suddenly these jokers in English media have no shame in admitting that they have played on made to order pitches in last few years. Dry spinning tracks for Swann for the Ashes and vs SA. For them doing so is exploiting home advantage , when we do its doctoring the pitches.

The article says, 1. England bowled better reverse swing to India 2. India bowled better with the new ball and hit the deck hard than the English bowlers. Also, here are other lines in the article. The point about doctored pitches and the stupid comment about England taking 20-wickets is LOL-worthy. But, lets separate the wheat from the chaff.

This is not true. India didnt do much the new ball. Just picked 1 wicket. It was after lunch and after about 50 overs in the innings with the old ball where they picked 6 wickets. So they got all the wickets with reverse swing.

It did not for India. Indian bowlers got conventional swing when they got those 6 wickets in a session. There was no reverse then.

It was overcast since the morning but there was no swing in 1st session. No wicket fell in that session.

They were as ineffective as English bowlers. They couldnt beat the batsmen or trouble them. It was only after 50 overs where Ishant got the ball to move back in and that's where 3 wickets fell followed by B Kumar's spell where another couple of wickets fell.

I just don't understand why the writer in the original article thinks India didnt do well enough to get reverse swing when 6 wickets fell after 50 overs in 1st innings. Even if you think that's conventional swing, then there is no need to get the ball to reverse because the ball was swinging and wickets were falling.
