YCCC
That's fine. The issue for me is that the ECB do not have a leg to stand on in this 'Gale Affair' with the way they blindly stuck up for Anderson, who, let's not forget, admitted to abusing Jadeja Link to comment
CSK Fan
^ its about proof though. The umpires made the call. There was enough proof about Anderson abusing, just not the shoving Link to comment
velu
There was enough proof about Anderson abusing' date=' just not the shoving[/quote'] we cant charge for abusing unless its racist.. but i blame dhoni for escalating this further knowing that we dont have any proof Link to comment
Laaloo
Dhoni and Jadeja got punked real good in this incident. They thought their daddy srini will save Jadeja but Srini was shown his place #srinimama hai hai Link to comment
moniker
Using abusive language carries a level 1 charge as per the ICC code if conduct, level 2 charge if it's of a "seriously insulting nature". So shouldn't calling Dhoni a fecking fat c*unt at least be a level 1 offense? Personally for me it feels silly to reprimand players just for abusing, but this latest incident does reveal the ECB's double standards. Link to comment
NoBull
Interesting news from English County Cricket ... Gale handed two-match ban after Yorkshire captain clashes with Lancashire's Ashwell Prince Before the final over, Gale exchanged words with Prince from his position at backward point — for which he received a rebuke from umpire Steve Garrett — before re-positioning himself at silly point for the last two deliveries of the day. Further words followed as the players left the field. An ECB statement confirmed the suspension for ‘using language or gesture that is obscene or of a serious insulting nature to another player’. YCCC
Another interesting development. One umpire, O' Shaughnessy, is a lancastrian, while Garrett is from Nottinghamshire, who just happen to be our main rivals for the title, and who we play next week. Time for neutral umpires in the county game? Link to comment
