Likelihood of locating and proving the existence of latter is pretty good.

There must be greener pastures in the whole wide Universe. Only the sub par Aliens come to Earth. Basically, Earth is like the Canada of the Universe. Only those immigrants ( aliens, pun unintended :P ) who can't make it to the US try for Canada.

Only those immigrants ( aliens, pun unintended :P ) who can't make it to the US try for Canada. :((:((:(( You are not entirely wrong, since most desis come to North America with the intent to 'work here, raise kids here, send kids to school here and then retire back in india' mentality/hope. For that, USA is the best deal. But for those of us who come here with the intent to live here (as in, i will live my life out here, i will bring over my parents and if possible/required/requested, cousins etc), we prefer Canada. There are very few places in this world better for an old person than Canada, unless you plan on saving 5-10 million dollars by the time you are 70.
