jf1gp_1
It is not like he cant bowl bouncers. He can but that is not forte. He is a seam swing bowler and a work horse' date=' can bowl spells in good areas, gets decent bounce at around 135 or so, but to bowl bouncers, you need a bit more pace.[/quote'] nice.. reminds me of prasad, doda ganesh, mohanty, harvinder singh, mithun, vinay ......... BlueBee
This strategy should not be tried when the ball is new and swinging. Only a few bouncers then. It can work better when the ball is not moving and the pitch has been roughed up a bit later on in the test and there is some variable bounce. But the psychological pressure created by softening up the batsmen should always be kept in mind. Hmm. Yep, can use to a limit though. Once an over. Link to comment
CoverDrive
Who among the reserve bowlers is the better bowlers right now. There can be a case for all three of them. Pandey has been on more tours than others and some time back it was a choice between him and shami Aaron has the pace Pankaj has been best domestic bowler of last 5 years Link to comment

India-KXIP fan
Really excited to watch Ishant today. Really looking forward to watch an Indian bowler for once after about a year if not more. :cantstop: If he had the same pace he had before ankle surgery which put him out for 8 months chit could have worked on the reg. Srs in Aus 2012 he was quick, vs WI at home just before that he was quick too. 90mph on the reg. Since then he has always been 80-86mph nothing more. Link to comment

Filandering
Please can we ease up on the aggression. They threw their wickets away. Let's not get carried away. That half wit will almost compulsively now ball short. Link to comment
express bowling
Pankaj doesnt have good bouncers. In the last televised 5 day domestic match, Pankaj actually adopted a multiple bouncer strategy for 4 or 5 overs. There, on a flattish deck, he bowled some sizzling , hostile bouncers close to and upto 140 k. At his height of 6'6", that is good pace for bouncers. I think Pankaj has added a bit more pace and effort last season . Also, I get the feeling that this English team has more difficulty playing tall pacers unless ofcourse we are talking express bowlers. Link to comment
