BeautifulGame Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 As long as the corrupt, staged, lame IPL circus continues BCCI and cricket will always thrive in the minds of the masses. And in terms of other sports, India struggle even sub competitive Commonwealth games against tiny nations. And how many test series we won outside India in 80s and 90s when test cricket was popular in India?
BeautifulGame Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014  Good lord please make this happen....the sooner indians loose interest and move away from cricket' date='the better...The game will lose almost all the[b'] match fixers, cheaters and hypocrites ... But it will still have Lankans...

If indians lose interest from tests, that just means ICC/BushCCI will push IPL and LOIs around the year and stop others from playing cricket too. T20s gained popularity after India won 2007 T20 cup. India should win more for test cricket to improve. Be careful what you wish for
CSK Fan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 And how many test series we won outside India in 80s and 90s when test cricket was popular in India? Test cricket was popular in India in the 90s :cantstop: You seem to be from another planet. Height of test cricket popularity coincided with our test wins in England, NZ and draw in SA
Crookbond Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Pro Kabbadi is really exciting, try to watch it.

I am not sure how many matches u have attended or watched in India. But if u think tests were more popular in 07-09 than in 90s then frankly its delusion.
Sachin=GOD Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Pro Kabbadi is really exciting' date=' try to watch it.[/quote'] This!
BeautifulGame Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Dont worry EPL is starting next week :yay: And CL soon after
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 India should win more for test cricket to improve. Be careful what you wish for Test cricket doesn't depend on India. Test cricket is barely popular in India anyway.
Texan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Support Kabaddi! We are 7-time Asian Games gold medallists in 7 attempts and by far the best team.
Lannister Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 What a pathetic, cowaard display from India. I don't even know why I watch these loosers play!
CSK Fan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Test cricket doesn't depend on India. Test cricket is barely popular in India anyway. 1) It will be popular if we start winning more. That's what happened with T20 2) If we do as bad as we are, would you wonder why it is barely popular?
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 Dont worry EPL is starting next week :yay: And CL soon after Doosron ke tournaments ko support karne ke bajaai apna tournament support karo.

Indian climate is not like English to support this, nor do Indian economy give people that leisure time. However, there was a lot of interest in Indian performance in tests when we started winning overseas. Many were hailed as heroes, news channels were full of this. Nowadays hardly any news channel gives even 2 mins for cricket news, no one care

That's what happened with T20 2) If we do as bad as we are, would you wonder why it is barely popular? We've always done well in Tests at home. The attendances have still been low. Our record in Tests at home hasn't helped the attendances a whole lot.
Crookbond Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Support Kabaddi! We are 7-time Asian Games gold medallists in 7 attempts and by far the best team. More importantly, India are 6-time (out of 6) winners of Kabbadi World Cup (2004, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013).
Sarkar Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I am an Indian dont care what people say i shall support my team win or loss imagine how i am feeling right now stupid bowlers and batsmen.
