Moeen Ali, how good he is with the bat and bowl??

He got selected in the team for his batting, A proper batsman who can bowl part time, but he turned out to be a more than decent bowler and a crappy batsman, although he has a Solid Ton against Srilanka. Thoughts? how do you see and rate him? Batting or a Bowling all-rounder? or neither? Should England just pursue with him ,although his batting sucks and he just can't play a Short Delivery?

Poor batsman. He will be eaten alive by any decent pace attack. He plays the short ball worse than even a tailender. Looks like a decent part time spinner but Indian batsmen played him poorly. He didnt even get big turn or bowl many variations. Just standard offies, perhaps with a bit of purchase and Indian batsmen gifted him wickets.

I kinda agree dude, if he can somehow improve his batting a bit, he can be a very valuable contribution in the English team.

Batting all-rounder, good enough to play tests for England. Has to work hard on playing the short ball, even medium pacers are bouncing him out.

His batting is abysmal lol Can't believe how he got into the side as a specialist batsman. But his part time bowling is better. He adapted better in 3rd and 4th test.

I haven't seen him bowl I want to know whether he chucks. He has spent some time with ajmal who is a certified chucker so does moeen chuck as well ?

Will struggle as a spin bowler. Batting might improve and he might be able to play as a batting all-rounder. Indian batsmen have made him look like a much better spinner than what he actually is.
