Angel Di Maria transfer

A lot of talk about this and it seems like a deal almost done taking hi to Man Utd for a huge sum of money, probably 50 Mill plus. Have to question the logic of it from Reals p.o.v did they really need Rodriguez when they had AdM. The latter is a fantastic world class player, bags of pace and skill and works his socks off. Rodirgues has a bit more creativity and imagination but its not like Real were lacking that without him. Di M was a crucial cog in their team last season and really should be assured of a regular first team spot. The will be getting good money for him mind Louis V G keeps talking about the imbalance in his squad and he is right- where they are lacking is Central midfielders and centre backs and wing backs would help too if theyre playing the 3-5-2- this move will help, ADMs ideal position is left attacking midfield, but when playing for Real last year it was left central midfield and that is where he would slot in Utd team .. Utd first choice midfield would look like Shaw, Di Maria, Carrick, Fletcher, Da Silva. And they can play him at wing back if needed but Given they bought Luke Shaw for £30 Mill he must play at LWB, meaning left footed Di Maria gets pegged into RWB - somewhere Rafael, when fit, can do a pretty good job. I still think though that natural defensive central midfielders could be bought for that kind of money . Utd have missed the boat to an extent if you look at some of the deals that have gone about- Isla to QPR, someone who is a proven wing back, Yann M Vila to Inter from Rubin Kazan- excellent box to box type midfielder even if he has his personality issues! Even Leroy Fer, someone who knows how to play in a 5 man midfield and someone who LvG knows...

florentino perez is a commercial opportunist,he only cares about the brand value of real madrid and their commercial exploits in america/asia be it t-shirt sales or trps.this is the reason why he goes for the current stars and force out guys like ozil, higuain,di maria(who were all pivotal to real's success),he values players with their current market value, star value. i have heard that ancelloti was not happy with ozil,di maria leaving and new players being brought with not much of his consent, many madrid fans are angry over perez's working style and think he might screw their squad just like how he did back in 2003/04. talking of adm in lvg's formation,i think he'll leave out mata and play 3-5-2 like this valencia/rafael evans-jones-rojo shaw carrick-herreira di maria rooney rvp

yes- one analyst saying his dpearture will prove disastrous like Makeleles did years ago. I hope he dosent drop Mata and AdM will sit a little deeper Evans, Jones, Rojo Da Silva, Herrera, Di Maria, Shaw Mata Rooney, RVP

yeah why drop Mata when he is scoring and doing better than others? playing both will increase their attack for sure plus together they may create more goal scoring chances :two_thumbs_up:

Danny Blind will be good signing in this formation for united.. still think if you Look at some of the transfers that have been this season : Yann M Vila on loan at Inter- he is meant to be a good all round midfielder, Gary Medel went there for £10 Mill, even Isla who is a proven wing back if LvG wants to stick to his 3-5-2, Stefan De Vrij went to lazio and Bruno Martins Indi to Porto, both those guys are promising young defenders who can play in a 3 man defence... all those players would have Improved Uniteds squad. Di Maria is a super player but is not really what United need most right now.
