In her latest statement, the 20-year-old girl has alleged that her family members took money from politicians and forced her to give such statements. She has even lodged cases against her family members. Can anybody make guess which political party or groups these politicians would belong to? All those politicians who created all this propaganda of love jihad should be thrown in jail.

The is just like the Best Bakery case, where Zahira Sheikh retracted her statement multiple times. Eventually she was convicted of perjury.

Raghav_12 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 How girl's pregnancy means parents acceptance? There are cases where couple grows whole family without gaining acceptance from parents. In most of the similar cases, couple elopes initially but after sometime they come out of their love and bitterness starts. Girl's parent use that opportunity to persuade girl to come back and instigating her against boy. Once girl is convinced she comes back and then rape and kidnapping charges on boy. If possible, parents would try to show girl a minor, so that it remains rape even if girl says that she had gone by her choice. Something similar had happened with one of my friend. Girl married him against her family's wishes, girl's family filed a kidnapping/abduction complaint. But in this case girl was very much adult and said everything is by her choice. These are some of the standard templates. Anybody having some closeness with Police or Legal circles would know that. I had mentioned standard template for this case. We cab spare a thought for guy. Who not only had to face the jail but also heart break of being put in jail by the person who he loved.

Stupid, but not illegal. The other things - paying money to file false complaint, beating, and planning riots are of course illegal. The UP police is run by pro-muslim SP, let us see what they do about this. On the other hand, the credibility of the girl stands diminished because of this u-turn. She should also be charged for filing a false complaint.

It does happen but the key difference between what it is and what BJP wants to portray is that LJ is a bunch of incidents happening sporadically at different places in the country rather than an organized campaign. Only if it's an organized campaign can it pose a serious threat and that's most likely why BJP lost UP elections IMO. Another interesting angle that I saw on twitter conversations was that many of the new educated Muslim men are looking to get into relationships with educated women, for which percentage is low in Muslim community due to their highly conservative notions with women working and studying

The way logic works is that the burden lies on the people/organization making the claim to prove beyond conclusive evidence that the claim exists. This instance was used as an canonical example and hence, the ridicule.
