Guest PrancingHorse Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Catalonia ain't becoming independent. +1
Sidhoni Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Should not matter unless they are born and living there otherwise it's just club from that place not national team :hmmm: But Barca does have many La Masia players which I believe do belong to the region only. Not sure though.
BeautifulGame Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 If Catalonia gets independent(which is remote) then then basque countries will be following them as well. They arent even allowing to hold a non binding referendum so Independence lol And La Liga and Madrid teams will suffer just as much without Barca Bilba etc as vice versa .La Liga president can say anything now but ultimately they need Barca and other teams far more.At worst Barca could apply to join the french league and play like Monaco are doing. Wont be long before even FIFA bends its rules allow them to continue in La Liga if this actually happens anytime soon.
kumar713 Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Barcelona back Catalans for independence vote Despite threats from La Liga chiefs that separation from Spain would see them booted from the division, the Camp Nou club have signed a pact supporting the referendum Barcelona have backed the Catalan region's right to vote for independence from Spain. There have been suggestions from the Spanish Football League (LFP) that Luis Enrique's men will be booted out of La Liga should the Catalan region, of which they are at the heart, become a new country.
