Across all 3 formats I would say Bhuvi has been the most consistent with his allround performance in tests and tight bowling in LOIs. Kohli was horrible in England tests, Dhoni has always been below average in tests and T20Is. Shami has been exceptional in ODIs but has not done well in tests this year. Pujara, Rahane and Vijay again are more test specialists and have done good only in that format. So it seems justified to me.
