Ram Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Wow, this is pretty significant. I remember back in the 90s, when the chief guests used to be tin pot leaders like President of Maldives..:phehehe:
Vilander Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Russian defense minister signed a military cooperation treaty with Pakistan yesterday,we kinda know why now. With all our present and future top end military hardware sourced from Russia this is an awesome policy from our country, hope for bajesus sake that they know what they are doing.
Desi Cartman Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Safety will be an issue. I think all jihadis will see this as an opportunity
FischerTal Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Amreeka wants to use India as leverage against china :hmmm:

sticky wicket Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Significant moment to have US prez at republic day, considering how US history of being anti-India. Bad news for Pakistan military leaders
Malcolm Merlyn Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Russia is upset that India is signing defence pacts with western nations. So this is a way of trying to arm twist India.Lets see what happens when Putin visits India. Btw Pakistan is so dependent on USA AID that it will be interesting to see if US allows Pakistan to buy anything from Russia using US money.
Kalia_Test Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 More than Obama, I would love to see Benjamin Netanyahu but it would be a big headache for security...
G_B_ Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 this co operation between russia and pakistan means jack 90% of pakistani hardware in the next 10-15 years will be of chinese origin. At max you can see russia supplying some niche products such as engines etc. I think India will continue to buy lots of russian hardware in the future. However the proportion will decrease. More than european nations is it Israel with whom India will seal bigger deals. The truth is India cannot afford western military tech in numbers which it needs to cover its borders.

Chinese = Russian copy design, Russin Engines. Pak will also get critical access to top end Indian tech, its very risky.
