Yeah suppose one has to take the bad with the good - very good onfield awareness and has a bunch that he can rely on - solid balanced player of pace and spin both. Todays cricketing fraternity am sure will miss the batter and the skipper in him yes.

he almost cried with pain due to the back spasms, but he still came back. super stuff. not just me but a lot of people on ICF are just starting to like him. and he retired. 1 month back in ICF he was a milder version of sangakarra today he is like another ABDV and KP at ICF, but alas its all over....

Clarke is a positive captain but not a great captain . The fact that he gets walloped 3-0 in england 4-0 India and 2-0 in UAE despite a great bowling attack is testament.Picks a no.3 almost every match . We have ultra defensive captains like Dhoni Cook and Misbah and positive like Clarke .Neither are very good. Macullum is the best captain in test cricket

Still remember his first series against IND in '04 .. century in debut & 6-9 in Mumbai :nice: would've had a better career if not for countless back & hamstring injuries.
