DesiChap
Quotehanger Guess who's back. The incomparable Ashish Nehra. He is not playing the Ranji Trophy just as yet. Quite to the contrary, his ankle injury will take two more months to heal, by when the Ranji Trophy will have ended. But our man is optimistic, so optimistic he seems to have made a basic error. "I am sure to play the Duleep and Deodhar Trophies and one-dayers." Just to break the cruel news, the zonal Duleep Trophy teams comprise some of the best performers in the Ranji Trophy and Nehra is not playing in that. Link to comment
Ranvir
He was good in WC 2003, bowling in the 90s. It's a shame he got injured. I doubt he'll get back to that same pace or even get back into the Indian team. Link to comment
bharat297
^ From what I remember he had 1 good game against England ... I have most of the matches from that tournament taped ... he was not a hopeless bowler ... like he was ok and could swing it ... but I would take Zaheer and RP over Nehra any day of the week. gs
Nehra, if he can regain full fitness and pace is an excellent third seamer to have - better than the Munnas, VRVs, Haggys and Jogis. Link to comment
Sachinism
its a shame, he was a decent bowler with some pace Link to comment

Lurker
Good bowler but fast approaching his sell-by date. With RP Singh and Zaheer Khan operating pretty decently I dont quite see where Nehra fits in as a left armer. Plus of course Pathan is there too. Frankly I would be surprised if he makes a comeback in the Indian team. Link to comment
