But he was the architect of superstar status for Rajini and also he was the guy who promoted Kamal from a character artist to masala artist through Sakala kala vallavan. Rajini owes a lot to him.
Temujin Khaghan Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 In terms of screen play i rate Bhagyaraj way above many directors. he is a very original director. his movies used to be a rage in 80s. there is a guy called barathiraja who positions himself comfortably on a similar scale to KB... other than him all the other directors mentioned in this thread are next best to the legend KB. --- I hate Shankar, he makes big budget low-class movies. maniratnam's last good movie was Guru. after that only downhill. i think even he did not understand the concept of Ravanan :giggle:

BeautifulGame Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Currently Vasantha Balan is my fav.Bala is too one dimensional and tries to be too much art genre for.my liking .Vasantha Balance knows how to balance and entertain as well unlike Bala Goutham Menon is way too overrated for me. Way too melodramatic with lengthy dialogue scenes as if its still 80s.Still living of the slick movie Kaka Kaka The current generation of 'Nalaya Iyakunar' group Karthick Subburaj ,Nalan Kumarasamy etc have been great so far .
