Our death bowling in ODIs and World Cup

Its the biggest cause of concern as far as I'm concerned. We dont have a single really good death bowler. Bhuvi, Shami have done well on a few occasions but not consistent enough and delivering in World Cup is a different cup of tea. The less said about Ishant in death overs the better. Once batsmen start attacking him, he loses the plot and starts bowling filth. He is a mental midget when it comes to bowling at the death and he should never be allowed to bowl in the death overs. Our death bowling alone might be the single biggest factor which could decide our fate in the World Cup.

Better take wickets upfront and try to go for minimum in the first 35-40 overs. Pacers always got us wickets in Aus 2012 and NZ 2013 ODIs but after that spinners and part timers were easily milked for 5 an over without any wickets, which leaves pacers for onslaught in the last 10 overs.

Spinners will find it tough to take wickets or choke runs on the hard wickets in Aus/NZ. Wickets will generally be good for batting and batsmen will look to score a lot of runs in last 10 overs and it will be even more difficult for bowlers with the fielding restrictions in the death overs. It could well be the phase where a game is won or lost.
