MCGGG Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 He's barely a shadow of his former self, this Australian tour has been an absolute disaster for him, a leader needs to lead, and lead from the front, and given how Kohli seems to thrive on the pressures of captaincy why not let him lead? Time is running out for India, they have weeks, not months to get the balance right, tic toc. tweaker 1

Surely you'd agree he has to make a mark during this current warm up series though, especially considering his form during this tour, IMO he's past it.

No matter who the captain is until india sort out its bowling and batters play according to the pitch and match situation, no captain will bring glory in foreign trips. Ps. Indian batsmen need to get out of IPL mentality where they were smashing around bret Lee. WC is not being played on indian flat low bouncing wickets.

MK55 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I'm not sure Kohli is the appropriate replacement for Dhoni. Kohli seems to be too impatient and might end up giving 1 over spells to the bowlers which will further dent their confidence. But Dhoni needs to get a bit more proactive both in the field and also while batting. At least we should consider recruiting an influential bowling coach but then even that may not happen till the WC ends. As of now Dhoni is the best person for the job

He's too good to be out of nick for long in this format.

I would rather go with Suresh Riana to be honest.
