Their performance has been poor, but I still believe that choosing the right XI would make a difference. Gayle, Simmons, Darren Bravo, Samuels would form a solid top 4, if Simmons and Bravo are instructed to play steady and lay a platform. This would allow the likes of Dwayne Bravo (if selected), Russell, Pollard/Smith, etc to all cash in. WI can bat deep, with Holder at 9. Their bowling is a big worry, but they should consider playing more spinners.

Really, they need to get everything sorted with their board first and then the players will respond as well. There is always something going on with the players and the board.

Yes, a full strength XI would have been nice - I don't think they would have made it beyond the quarters, but the overall fight in the prelims and in the QF would have been better. The Bravo bros would have been good additions. Santokie is not really an ODI player - more of a T20 specialist. If Narine and/or Shillingford were around, it would have been pretty cool.

WI are still a very good team.They missed Bravo and Narine in bowling badly.Hodler being an inexperienced captain didnt help either.They were very good in CT as well last time.Too much controversy leading into a world cup never helps. They still r top 3 in T20s.Will be one of the favorites for next year world cup. Yeah they will continue to struggle in test cricket but who cares.

Windies will be a much better side with narine,bravo,chota bravo and rampaul coming back.they need to give more chances to chota bravo,simmons and Carter up the order and stick with them.these are the better batsmen in the side who can build innings
