With the top order missing out so far, the lower middle order has rescued the batting on both occasions. Not too sure about their bowling depth though. Sure there's Jerome Taylor at the front to provide early breakthroughs but can they sustain the pressure with their bowling depth is still to be seen. zen Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Teams such as WI and Pak may not be favorites to win the WC, but they certainly do have the ability to play party spoilers for some of the major teams in the KOs OZ vs. WI QF at Adelaide. With short side boundaries and good batting surface, WI could end OZ dreams if it is WI's day; Similarly NZ dream could end if it plays vs Pak at Wellington .... However, If it is Aus vs Pak and NZ vs WI, both the hosts would feel more relaxed (esp. OZ) PS In 1987 WC, the hosts - Ind and Pak were overwhelming favs. Both of them did well in the group stages. But were knocked out in the first KO game that they played i.e. SF

flamy Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Narine would have made a world of difference. Of course Bravo is clutch too, but they seem to be covering up for him with Sammy/Russell. But Narine is sorely missed. Their middle overs would have been super tight with some wickets with Narine there.
