fineleg
Hopefully YoYo bozos and law of averages dont catch up with us! Thankfully return catch did not go to Dadaji Patel - useless would have dropped return catch!!! Good 1 down. PS: Correction Butty in Link to comment
Ram
Ok, I will try to keep faith in whatever that you guys are feeling so secure in "past history" Hope no new record will be created. another 4 meanwhile y hameed vs kumble Ok, based on what you say I will relax for a while Seriously, relax. We aint losing this. Even if Pakistan is 150 for no loss 25 overs, we will win. And as i type that, first wicket has fallen !:dance: Link to comment

bharat297
This is excellent captaincy from Kumble (the declaration) ... this ensures our players are switched on for 80 overs and desperately looking for ways to get wickets. We have made a real game out of this, and win, lose(unlikely but possible) or draw ... we will benefit much more as a team from this than simply meandering out for a draw. Link to comment

Mr. Wicket
F'leg, In the couple of thousands of test matches that have been played so far, I dont think the team batting last has EVER scored 340 in 80 overs. No, but something even more impressive has been achieved. http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/63376.html 344 (gulp) in 66.1 overs. Then again, that was a spectacular innings by Gordon Greenidge, one of the all time great knocks. Pakistan have nobody in their side IMO capable of doing anything similar. As far as this target though - there's a small risk taken. But a necessary one. No complaints from me. If we can't defend 344 in 80 overs on such a slow, turning pitch, then there's something very wrong. Link to comment
fineleg
Rads, Do you use ruler to beat children? Hopefully not. There used to be one Miss (well thats what we called them teacher) in school - she used to walk around with a ruler :girl_handsacrossameand did not like her Link to comment
