As the year comes to an end..and we are supposed to play just 2 more test matches this year,why don't we ICF-ers choose Indian cricketer of the year? i don't like this to be restricted just to a poll... for& against..it will be fascinating:two_thumbs_up: As for mine..although Dhoni has been hogging the lime light,my vote goes to Yuvraj Singh even if the management is not giving an opportunity to play in the tests.

Yea I would say all in all if you look at Tests and ODIs ... it has been Sachin's year. Sachin has been our best batsman in ODIs this year I feel, and has had a good year in Tests too. Some centuries would have put the icing on the cake, but there are still 2 more tests.

India only played decent cricket in the 20-20 WC and Tests in Eng ... its a tough ask to pick the BEST out of that .. I would say ... ODI & 20-20: Dhoni for taking over the captaincy and changing his own batting style ! Tests : Sachin ............................. cuz he is the greatest!

In ODIs Tendulkar has been our best batsman this year, and in Tests he has scored just under 700 runs this year at an averaged of 58, so in my opinion he has been the standout player this year.

Without doubt it's SG in both tests and odis. He has made a great comeback against insurmountable ods. Since his return, he has played the maximum number of crucial innings in tests amongst all batsmen against all opposition. Hasn't had a bad series. Scored about 800 runs with 3 centuries. Same in odis. Highest scorer in international cricket over the last year if I am not mistaken. about 1250 odd runs since return! Annus Mirabilis indeed!
