Selectors' accountability

Ind's campaign finally ended in the SF. At the start of the WC, I did not expect any Asian team to reach the last 4 - Eng disappointed, while Ind seized the opportunity Once the other teams get a sizable total on board in a high pressure KO game, usually, the team batting 2nd is climbing up the hill. With all things considered, Ind had a successful WC However, the questions still lurks on the accountability of various stakeholders. Make no mistake about it that Ind did well but it did it against the odds. Therefore, it would not be right to brush issues under the carpet. The learning should be incorporated so that as a team Ind continues to improve itself As has been discussed on numerous threads, the team struggled with replacement issues. Let's be honest that not everyone performed consistently. At times, it appeared as if w/o proper replacements, there was nothing much that the team could do I remember reading somewhere that Dhoni wanted Vijay and Aaron in the squad, but the selectors chose to overlook this request. Vijay with his ability to score big against quality attacks (such as Aus's) and Aaron with his ability to bowl express would have been an asset. Not including these two was a big blunder on the part of the selectors / who ever is responsible for selecting the team. Everyone in the reserves, apart of one game where Shami was not well, warmed the bench. Also picking up a leg spinner and/or left-arm seamer could have helped (at least to practice the angles in the nets) Should selectors be held accountable for picking such inadequate resources? Some of the selectors were accused of nepotism as well. Should the selectors resign (or be axed)?

I think so. Selectors are not honorary positions anymore and they get paid handsomely.So they must get the stick if things go badly.

Team India did very good, despite selection mistakes. Yes, selectors do need to be questioned, but given indian team exceeded expectations, Roger Binny and co will holiday at bcci expense

There should be a law against selector selecting his own child.If the offspring is in contention,..then the selector should step down. Can't have it both ways.
