So many great players played this wonderful game; each with their unique ability to win matches single-handedly. If you had to pick the best eleven keeping the balance of side in mind, what would be your best team? Does the video below help? wMGU9Jnl2O4 Eager to hear from you :winky:

Klusener is a great pick, really underrated I find it hard to choose between Mcgrath and Garner. Either would be a great pick And one express bowler, either Donald or Waqar or Holding

On their pomp, Wasim and Klusener were 145k merchants. Pollock was certainly rapid in his pomp too. No where close to Donald, Waqar, or Holding. May be Wasim was up there.

Others in the 17 man squad :- Sobers
Overall, a nice squad .... Sobers played only one ODI and that too towards the end of his career. However, we can assume based on his performances in tests (an ATG test batsmen) and potential that he would have been amongst the greats in ODIs. So if you have him in the squad, he should be in the playing 11 as he would be in the same league as Richards and Tendulkar, and probably the best batsman in the squad

Would have loved to have Bradman and Graeme Pollock in there as well but they never played a odi so kept them out. Also wanted to have Ambrose in there but went with Garner ahead of him.

Yeah, but there is no rule that says that past great should have played ODIs to be in the squad. Tendulkar, Lara, etc. did not play T20, but we know they have done superbly in them esp. if they played that format at their peak And you will probably be the first person to have Sir Gary Sobers in the squad but not in the playing 11 .... and ofc likes of Jayasuriya, Kallis, etc. ahead of the person many consider the greatest cricketer! :P
